Home warranties aren't just for homebuyers and here's why. When one of our agents bought his home he got a home warranty on it for one year. The seller bought it and he thought nothing of it until it was time to renew it. He renewed it and got a discount since it was his second year. This was in the spring and when winter came he was glad he had renewed it. One day, his home felt a little cold, so he went to the basement to check the furnace and to his surprise, it wasn't working. He called the home warranty company and they sent a repairman right out. After inspect5ing the furnace, the repairman informed him that the furnace needed to be replaced.
